Colon cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. Did you know that there is a non-invasive and private way you can be screened for colon cancer? If you are over 50, ask your doctor about a FIT test.

Important info about SNAP Benefits

The Department of Transition Assistance (DTA) will be issuing February SNAP EARLY - between January 17th and 20th. Just like all normal SNAP payments, this SNAP does not expire and will remain on the card until the household uses it.  DTA will NOT be issuing SNAP in February, so families should plan accordingly.

2018 Flu Clinic: Get Your Flu Shot!

Did you know that over 700,000 people were hospitalized for the flu during the 2017-2018 flu season? The CDC is urging people to get vaccinated this fall before the flu starts spreading. 

LCHC patients can visit our flu clinic on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m. If you are not a LCHC patient contact your PCP!

If you visited LCHC on February 6 you would have noticed a sea of red!  Staff participated in the #RedAlert4CHCs Day of Demonstration organized by the National Association of Community Health Centers. Many health center leaders were in Washington demanding that Congress renew funding for Community Health Centers so that we can continue to provide access to care for millions of people throughout the United States. Health Center employees wore red to show our support.

LCHC Recognized by CDC as a Hypertension Control Champion

Lynn Community Health Center has been recognized as a 2017 Million Hearts®  Hypertension Control Champion by the Centers for Disease Control.

Million Hearts is a national initiative, co-led by the CDC and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to prevent 1 million heart attacks and strokes between 2017 and 2022. Million Hearts recognition is awarded to professionals, practices, and systems who have been able to achieve blood pressure control for at least 70% of their adult patients with hypertension. Health Center Announces New CEO

On Monday, August 28, 2017, Board President Reverend Jane Gould announced that the Board of Directors has selected Lynn Community Health Center Chief Medical Officer Kiame Mahaniah, MD, to become the health center’s next Chief Executive Officer.  He will assume the new position on October 2, 2017.
