Senator Warren Visits Lynn Community Health Center

Lynn Community Health Center was honored to host a visit by Senator Elizabeth Warren on Friday, July 26th.  Senator Warren, Congressman Tierney, and other officials came to learn more about the health center, and particularly about our integrated care model that combines primary and behavioral health care in one setting.  During a briefing and a tour of our new building, she expressed confidence that community health centers are an important part of the future of healthcare.

Zumba in Central Square

Cambodian New Year Celebration!

The sixteenth annual Lynn Community Health Center Cambodian New Year Celebration was a wondeful opportunity for our community to celebrate the cultural heritage of one of Lynn’s largest immigrant groups. The celebration included Cambodian Dance, a traditional blessing by Cambodian Monks, and a wonderful meal shared by everyone present.  Click here for more details.

Baby Cafe now at LCHC!

Lynn Community Health Center is now hosting The Baby Cafe every Thursday from 10:30 am - 12 noon at our 269 Union Street location. The Baby Cafe offers free drop in breastfeeding support and assistance. Click here for more information.

 

 

LCHC Earns National Recognition for Patient Care

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) today announced that Lynn Community Health Center has received recognition from the Patient-Centered Medical Home 2011 Program for using evidence-based, patient-centered processes that focus on highly coordinated care and long term participative relationships.

Celebrate Black History Month with LCHC!

February is recognized as Black History Month and has been celebrated since 1926. It first began because an accomplished African American historian, Dr. Carter G. Woodson, wanted to bring to light the omission of accomplishments by blacks in history books. He chose February because it coincided with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass.
