Give to our Annual Appeal.
We provide the baseline of foundational health and well-being. This is imperative in order for someone to be able to achieve their dreams. The great advantage of the Annual Appeal is that these funds are unrestricted, and can target the place that the community and our patients need it most.
Having the ability to support our community in this way is crucial. We can achieve a better community, a better nation, when people feel that their health concerns can be addressed in a professional and a high quality manner.
”We all have to have a sense of ownership and agency over our own lives.

#GivingTuesday 2022
Thank you to everyone who supported Baby’s First Christmas!
In spite of not hosting an in-person holiday party due to COVID/health concerns, we raised more than ever, and Santa even visited our Pediatric Team! In the past two years you raised $6,000 and $7,000, and this year, we quickly surpassed $11,000 and doubled the number of individual contributors. Thank you to each one of you.
These funds are already supporting our 542 newborns of 2022! 95% of our families are low-income and more than 60% live under the federal poverty line. Many have yet to rebound fully from the economic devastation of COVID. At least one third struggled to put food on the table this year, many more have struggled to pay rent.
Already, your gifts have purchased and distributed gift bags to families, including baby blankets and hats, winter sleepers, bibs, multi-lingual books, and diapers. Because of your generosity, we were also able to purchase more Market Basket gift cards to be handed out to new moms in OB, Pedi, and Moms Do Care!
Additional funds are used to purchase additional gift cards and they are a life saver for our social workers! At LCHC when a nurse or staff person learns a pregnant or new mom has no food in the house, a social worker is contacted. The social worker then will connect our patient to the appropriate services. In the meantime, the Market Basket Gift Card allows the patient to purchase some food supplies immediately.
Thank you to everyone who has made it possible to give a little more support to our patients and families this year. We couldn’t do it without you!
”...A story of hard work, sacrifice and pain, but also a story of resilience and joy. LCHC is a place where we try to help all these women as best as possible. I feel very proud to be able to work in this institution. Every December we bring a little joy to these mothers and their children with my baby's first Christmas...

”Health care...is above all a moral issue...at stake are not just the details of policy...but fundamental principles of social justice and the character of our country.
Edward (Ted) M. Kennedyformer US Senator (MA), as quoted on the wall of the main entrance of Lynn Community Health Center
We will - yes, we will - fulfill the promise of health care in America as a right and not a privilege.
